Whether you relocated to Malta and you want to go on vacation, or you relocated in Italy and want to visit Malta, there are good news!

Starting from spring 2026, KM Malta Airlines and Ryanair will expand their routes to and from Malta.

2025 was a strong year for the Maltese tourism industry, with tourist expenditure in the Maltese Islands approaching the €4 billion mark. It therefore seems natural for airlines to increase flight capacity in order to reinforce Malta’s connectivity not only with major European cities, but also with markets such as Türkiye and Israel.

From May 2026, KM Malta Airlines will introduce a new twice-weekly service to Tel Aviv, operating on Wednesdays and Sundays. The airline will also strengthen connections with key European cities such as London and Rome, with up to two daily flights. As stated in its official announcement, the airline’s Summer 2026 programme has been designed to meet strong demand while supporting Malta’s position as a leading Mediterranean destination.

Industry expectations suggest that 2026 will continue to see strong tourism demand for Malta. Ryanair is also expanding its operations, adding four new routes (Gothenburg, Newcastle, Palma, and Tirana), bringing its network to 70 routes from Malta. In addition, the airline will increase frequencies on several major routes, including Milan, Dublin, and London.

Maybe it’s the beautiful Mediterranean Sea or maybe it’s the cultural heritage of the island…but it is certainly true that Malta is becoming an extremely popular destination.
