10 Sep Taxation of Gaming Companies in Malta
Maltese gaming companies are subject to a 35% tax rate on income and holding gains made worldwide. When distributing profits, the Maltese tax authorities will pay the direct shareholders of the company a tax refund equal to 6/7 of the corporate tax paid by said company. Maltese enterprises can request exemption from double taxation against Malta’s extensive tax treaty network and the Maltese tax legislation, when the exemption provided for in the treaties is not available.
