E-mail marketing manager, Chief digital officer, but also Data Protection Officer, Project Manager or Program Manager. Old and new professions, therefore, more or less linked to the verb of new technologies, from experts in data processing to individuals appointed to oversee complex projects, all the way up to enterprise managers. These are the profiles that will have, according to the Hunters Group research and selection company, excellent professional opportunities during the year 2018.

Matteo Columbo, Executive Director of Hunters Group, noted that: the sectors linked to the world of technology are most obviously those that offer greater possibilities, both to veteran candidates with more experience and new graduates. Moreover, the salaries are very interesting in these fields, and are constantly growing. An e-mail marketing manager, who through targeted e-mail campaigns has the task of retaining the current customers of a company and/or recruiting others, can earn from 45 to 70-thousand-euro gross per year, depending on their years of experience and the number of people they manage. The salaries are more or less at the same levels (before taxes) for those involved in the sale of marketing projects for the acquisition of profiled contacts of the potential customers, the Sales Lead Generation, which can aspire at revenues that vary between 40 and 90 thousand euros per year in relation to markets, turnovers and managed customers.

The most sought-after, and consequently the most valued position, is the Chief digital officer. Said individual must have the necessary skills to coordinate the digital transformation process of the company through targeted strategies in order to analyse costs and benefits, profits and losses. The salaries for this position range from 90 to 150 thousand euro, and are the highest paid in the digital field, among those highlighted in the Hunters Group survey.

Interesting, though not at the same levels, are the numbers to which other three professional categories of technological matrix can aspire. A Data protection officer, that is the one who evaluates and organizes data processing and preserves its integrity in compliance with national and international regulations on privacy, can earn from 50 to 70- thousand-euro gross per year. The salary of a cyber security manager, called upon to protect data, systems and (in the case of production companies) any related machinery, on the other hand, stands at 50 thousand euros. A cloud architect, namely the computer expert who deals with the design and implementation of cloud infrastructures in which large parts of a company’s information system “runs” through, is roughly at the same level with a salary ranging from 45 thousand to 60 thousand euros depending on his/her experience. There are also non-digital figures who are, in any case, highly requested this year: the project managers. These are mainly needed in sectors mostly related to engineering and plant building.
